My name is Gia
Heath. I am married to my wonderful Husband Mason for six years
now and have 1 son named Jackson Oliver (5 years old). We live
in North Carolina, USA. Babies are something I have wanted
all my life and after many losses and years of trying
unsuccessfully we finally adopted Jackson & Kaitlyn. Sadly our
little angel Kaitlyn Michelle passed away @ 2 months old.
I was raised in the construction business with my parents doing
finish carpentry since the age of 7 and have always been doing
artwork in some form or another since the 8th grade, mostly
acrylic painting and woodworking but when I was introduced to
the world of reborn babies I was thrilled and after my first
baby there was no way back. My love for the dolls won out!! I
sold all the acrylic paints and wood shop equipment and started
right in.
I have finally found my true calling and I can now help other
people adopt precious little babies through my artwork. I am into
my sixth year of reborning babies as of October 2010, and have
worked steadily toward cre8ting my own style to cre8te the
ultimate in realism with each and every baby. My unique style
has earned me the trust of several doll collectors and makers
throughout the world and I am proud to be the sole artist for a
few of them. These babies are a reminder and celebration of the
miracle of life and the beautiful feeling achieved through
holding a baby. I put my heart into every baby I make using the
highest quality materials and try to cre8te the best heirloom
quality baby that I can for their new mommies. The challenge for
me is to cre8te the most lifelike babies and to always improve
my skills to bring you the best.
Here on my own website and on eBay is where I sell my babies,
reborn supplies, custom made doe suede bodies, my own mohair
that I process here at home and I sew and cre8te beautiful baby
clothing as well. I learned to sew & design baby clothing about five
years ago now ,which was brought about because of the need for
unique outfits for the babies. I now make most of their outfits
when time allows. The outfits for each of my dolls are
completely unique (I never dress any 2 alike) and each one comes
with a full wardrobe plus lots of extras. I also custom make
each and every body for my dolls now with my own unique patterns
and they have the cutest little gathers in the chest area and
the tushie which adds even more to the realistic feel of holding
your baby. My body sizes range from tiny 3" babies all the way
up to the largest toddlers. My baby bodies are known throughout
the world and used by many reborners and collectors alike. I
have learned crochet and have made some gorgeous outfits and
sculpting is next (maybe lol).
I am also a member of a few Reborn Artist Guilds, and I have my
own forum Whispered Moments Reborn Baby Guild. I have met a
multitude
of wonderful ladies through this art and even had the privilege
to travel to meet a few of them in person and I can't wait to
get to know all of you as well.
I cannot imagine doing anything else now and hope to be doing it
for a very long time!
