This baby is the gorgeous Finn sculpt by the very talented artist Linda Scherer!  I took this baby into my nursery and now he is a wonderful and very realistic newborn and I enjoyed every minute of reborning him into Kendrew!

To show this baby's true coloring all of his pictures were taken in natural daylight.  With so many gray days this winter the pictures will vary a bit.  The pictures are very graphic intensive so please be patient while they load.  Kendrew is well worth the wait.

 

 

Kendrew is all ready for an outing in his little imported hand-made knit outfit!!

Kendrew started out life as the Finn sculpt by renowned artist Linda Scherer!!  I took him into my nursery and gave him a warm soapy baby bath before beginning his reborning.  Baby Kendrew is now simply the most precious Baby Cre8tions One of a Kind baby boy!!

 

 

Kendrew's beautiful lifelike complexion was created with Genesis heat-set paints in many thin layers to create a lightly mottled newborn skin tone effect.  Kendrew has been carefully colored with my own special blend of Genesis heat set paints that will never fade, crack or peel.  The finer skinned areas have a gentle transparent hue of bluish pink for the look of a true newborn and to create amazing realism.  No crease from his head to his tiny toes has been overlooked and every little detail has been shaded and blushed in all the right places.  His veining is visible but not strongly enough to create a high contrast.  Kendrew's skin tone is amazingly lifelike and realistic.  I truly pay attention to every detail and crevice and baby fat roll.  No spot on this baby has been overlooked from his cute little manicured toes to his sweet little nose which has been opened and backed with felt to give depth and the illusion of real breathing.  I have tried to include some close ups of him so that you can see the extreme detail and realism of every part of him.  Kendrew is no longer just an adorable doll but an incredibly realistic work of art to collect and cherish for generations

Kendrew has been given a doe suede jointed body.  His well proportioned body has been filled and weighted with fiberfill and glass granules for a very realistic baby weight which makes him very easy to pose and for that real baby feeling when you hold him.

His 3/4 length soft vinyl limbs have been weighted with glass granules and fiberfill.

His little head has also been weighted and please remember to gently support it when he is picked up.

 

 

 

 

Kendrew's scalp has been delicately and realistically detailed and then I micro rooted his hair with exceptionally soft medium blonde mohair with the tiniest needle available.  It has been sealed from the inside with waterproof glue so that it can be carefully washed and styled in a wide variety of cute little boy styles.

Kendrew has a complete full head of hair with a baby's receding hairline and a beautifully swirled crown.  Kendrew's hair was left natural in all of his pictures so that you can see that it really does lay down perfectly without having to be wet down every time.  I have included several pictures to show this amazing detail.

 

 

Baby Kendrew's eyes are a beautiful blue with violet explosions of color throughout and have been delicately framed with gorgeous baby wispy brown eyelashes.

His nose has been gently opened so baby can "breathe" and backed with a dark felt for depth.

His little lips have been shaded to a more natural color and have been double sealed in gloss varnish for the wet baby look and for protection.

His little fingers and toes have had a manicure with the very tips hand painted in off-white which has been sealed in permanent varnish for a freshly cut baby look.
